Hello! We are The Pink Cormorant – a place where clay meets smiles.

Why a pink cormorant, you ask? It’s the story of two loves – the sea and the color pink. Simple, memorable, and just like us!

At the heart of it all is Iliyana (or, as we lovingly call her – Mama Cormorana). One day she heard the name and instantly claimed it. She’s the soul of the studio – sometimes serious, but always with a warm heart and hands ready to shape something beautiful. She’s the kind of person who turns dreams into reality – even if that means transforming a dark basement into a bright, cozy creative space!

We believe that everyone carries a little artist inside, waiting for the right moment to come out.

We want to share the magic of clay with you – whether you’ve worked with it before, or your only memory is from kindergarten, making a tile for your mom.

 

Here, there are no “wrong” ways to create – there’s only your way.

 

How it all began

 

In the summer of 2024, something magical happened – a gloomy basement started turning into a warm, welcoming space for creativity.

After two months of scrubbing, painting, rearranging (and countless cups of tea!), we opened our doors on September 1st.

 

The best part? None of it would have been possible without the most wonderful family and friends anyone could wish for. They’re the ones who keep us standing when the wheel spins a little too fast.

 

Life at the studio

 

Here, you’ll find us giggling over wonky mugs, celebrating perfectly fired pieces, and passionately debating the playlist (everyone has an opinion about what inspires creativity best!).

 

Sometimes things don’t work out the first time – but that’s why we always keep cookies for comfort and stories to share.

 

At The Pink Cormorant, everyone is welcome to be themselves – whether you’re a perfectionist counting every millimeter, or a whirlwind of creative chaos. Here, we make not just ceramics, but also friendships, memories, and plenty of laughter.

 

And of course, Mama Cormorant is always nearby, ready with a warm smile or a helpful tip – just don’t argue with her about the music!

We know we might seem a little crazy from the outside.

But if you give us a chance and spend some time with us, we promise we’ll make you a little crazy too. Crazy about pottery, of course.

 

That’s the only contagious thing here… well, maybe the laughter too.
